Leopard is upon us
Ladies and Gents! It has begun.
Leopard, Apple’s newest installment of Mac OS X (10.5) is here and I, Mike Rapin (aka Gambit), am going to install… today.
I’ll be ‘live blogging’ this experience as I go along, so keep watching for updates!
First off it’s 5:32PM and since I do not have any Dual-Layer DVDs I’m going to install via an external hard drive. I’m currently restoring this external HD with the Leopard DMG I have and we’ll see what happens from here.
5:40PM
Things seem to be good. I’ve copied the dmg over and am booting into the install process.
5:43PM
Fuck. Damn. Shit. The Leopard installer isn’t detecting my internal HD… I hate to do this but I have to format it. Luckily I took precautions last night and backed up my internal HD to another external I have… let’s hope this fixes things.
5:46PM
Formatted. Restarting.
5:52PM
WHOA! Formatting fixed it. Don’t know what the problem was, but things are working! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! Now, to wait until it’s done…
11:32PMÂ
So, I left my computer to install and…. IT’S DONE! I HAVE LEOPARD!! WOO HOO!!! More to come on Sunday…
I’ll be at Western Michigan University until Sunday. See ya then.
