Creative inspiration
I know lately, all I've been blogging about it writing and being creative and stuff, but it's what I'm currently doing. I hope someone enjoys it.
Anyways, I was thinking today about what has caused me to be so inspired. I've written two whole episodes of mat42dr (~8-9 pages of script each) after being stuck for nearly a month. Mind you, one was a complete rewrite of an episode (totally new plot and such), and the other was a new episode furthering the plot. I don't know where it came from.
I'd like to think it was sheer determination. I was stuck on episode 9 for the longest time. I had gotten maybe three-quarters of the way through the episode and I just couldn't finish it. I was concerned about the episode sounding forced and cheesy, but eventually--eventually being Monday, the 14th--I just said, "screw it," and finished the episode. I was so worried that I was utterly stumped as to how I was going to make the episode sound even remotely realistic, but it finally hit me: THIS IS TV. Just because something doesn't seem real enough to me, doesn't mean it's not realistic. Life throws crazy curve balls at you. That's mat42dr in some sense.
